the privates will have at the least a couple of platoons I think we've talked about privates enough for one year, ronrlee.

I think...we should not discount how powerful GFW must've been today.
Sixty-six shots is impressive. I don't care how many skaters the other team had.
We've all expected GFW was going to be really good...but...gotta admit...that was a statement from the Cats.

66 SOG.
Mike Mole can obviously be happy with his effort today.
Other than that...there aren't any positives to take away from that type of situation.
The one bit of good news they have...and I mentioned this the other day...Dundas doesn't play on Wednesday. So, they're already guaranteed to get a day off prior to elimination games.
The other thing we MIGHT encounter tomorrow...even if Dundas doesn't get a plane load of players in the next 24HRS...I wouldn't be shocked if SEPT has some similar issues with their roster.

Now Lapointe is booted from the game for Checking to the Head.
Amolezing goaltending. It's "only" 5-3 GFW.

Shot clock heading for the big 7-0.
Dundas plays again in 24HRS.
Mike Mole might need a garden hose stuck down his throat while he sleeps to replenish the fluids.

Started game with 13.
Foreman left after blocking a shot early in the 2nd period & they've been going with 12 ever since.

Holy shit!
I hope the local shot-counter is a homer. GFW gets 50 SOG on Mike Mole...after only 40 minutes of play.

Yikes.
Dundas trots onto the rink with 13 skaters. GFW takes the signal and they've peppered nearly 50 SOG on Mike Mole barely past half-way through the game.
The Cats have come to play.

Crucial game for these teams. The outcome will shape the pool standings and have a big effect on scheduling.
Too bad I'm missing opening day.
I think GFW will put a dent in the defending champs today.
Anything less would be a MAJOR swing for the entire tournament.

Wade. Agree with many things you say. Likely disagree with more of what you say. In the end you know Senior hockey. But on the topic of $$, sorry but you're out to lunch. Jimc will tell you some stories. As an insider with friends who have played in the MLH and ACH, I know first hand of back room deals. Of course there are. For example, if Brantford gets 1000 fans for some games at $12 a pop....lets just say some players get more than the $20 you think they get. I also have friends who played in the ACH/MLH. A few of them were prominent players on excellent teams...RUMOURED...to be paying big bucks. This is the oldest conversation in SR hockey & I used to spend a lot of time on it. Nowadays...I realize I'm just wasting time on it. Let people believe what they want and let the teams who pay...do so...if that's what they think will accomplish their goals. There are SO MANY smarter things to do with what little $$$ a team can get their hands on than paying players $/games.
